Made to Last

Caring for Your Hat

A little care keeps your handmade hat looking its best for years. Here's how to treat it right.

Food/Liquid Spills

If food or a liquid gets on your hat use baby wipes or a damp washcloth and GENTLY wipe it off. Use mild soap if needed.

Wool/Felts Hats

These hats can lose their shape for a multitude of reasons. To re-shape them simply reach out to us, find a local hat shaper, or use a steamer and gently shape it. We can walk you through it!

Keep it dry

If your hat gets caught in the rain, let it air dry naturally away from direct heat. Never use a hairdryer or radiator, which can warp the shape.

Hairspray!

If you have dried flowers or grasses tucked in the band - a spritz of hairspray on them will keep them lasting longer!

Sizing Guide

The right fit makes all the difference. Here's how to measure your head and match it to a size — or just send us your measurement and we'll handle the rest.

How to Measure

  1. 1

Wrap a soft tape measure around your head where the hat will sit — just above your ears and the middle of your forehead.

  2. 2

If you do not have a soft tape measurer - use a string and then place it next to a ruler or yard stick.
